Managing Time Offs

Unlike Week and Day views, Month view is not employee-row based. Instead, all activity for the day, including time off, appears together in the same cell. Month view displays time off along with shifts, open shifts, and events in a single day-based cell.

To view the time of requests in the Month View, ensure that Time-Off is selected in the View settings.

For each day, time off details appear at the top of the cell. This includes the number of time off requests approved, pending, and denied.

Select the Time-offs row to view additional details.

Select individual requests for additional actions. For example, you can approve or deny pending requests.

Using Footer Insights

You can now view aggregated totals and key insights directly in the Month view footer. This helps you quickly understand overall monthly performance without navigating to separate grids.

The Month view footer displays:

  • Total Hours
  • Total Cost
  • Sales Forecast

These values are shown as non-expandable labels.  In addition, the footer includes Labor as % of Sales  and Budget insights  as colored chips for quick emphasis.

Visibility of footer data depends on system configuration and your permissions:

To view Sales Forecast and Labor as % of Sales:

  • POS module must be enabled for your company or store.
  • You must have one of these permissions:
    • Can view forecast data on the scheduling app for all stores
    • Can view forecast data on the scheduling app for the store(s) you belong to

To view Budget, you must have one of these permissions:

  • Can view budgets on the scheduling app for all stores
  • Can view budgets on the scheduling app for the store(s) you belong to

Using Positions Panel

You can open a Positions panel from the Month view footer in the Manage Schedule screen. This panel gives you a quick reference of all positions in your store, helping you identify shift colors easily.

Selecting the Positions label opens the panel on the left side of the schedule, showing the following:

  • Scheduled Positions: Positions with shifts in the selected month.
  • Unscheduled Positions: Positions without any shifts in the selected month.

You can expand or collapse each section independently. Unscheduled Positions is collapsed by default when the panel opens. Each position displays its name and assigned color for easy identification. The panel updates in real time if shifts are added, removed, or modified.

  • Search and select one or more employees.
  • Filter by status by selecting the Filters icon.
    • Published
    • Unpublished
