Requires POS Integration
This is one of the display options available from the Forecast Grid. The Forecast Grid is available once you have set up POS Integration. The Labor Forecast varies based on settings defined for customer facing positions and the number of estimated transactions.
Setting up Labor Forecasting
Identify which of your Positions are customer facing. The most common of these are Cashiers and Sales Associates. Other positions which spend a portion of their time assisting customers can be mapped later
To set up a Labor Forecasting:
1. Select the settings icon on the top right of the Homepage and select Positions.
2. Select the Update icon on the left of the position.
3. Enter the necessary details.
NOTE: The Number of Minutes on Average that this Position Spends with Each Customer is set to 2 by default. This number varies based on the position that is selected in the above steps.
4. Select Save. The system displays the Labor Forecasting from the Forecasting Grid.
Map Positions
Certain positions allocate a portion of their time to customer-facing activities, while the remainder is dedicated to non-customer-facing tasks, such as office work. To improve the accuracy of labor forecasting, these positions must be properly mapped within the Store Settings.
For forecasting purposes, only the time spent on customer assistance should be included. Time allocated to non-customer-facing tasks, such as office duties, should be excluded from the forecast model.
Mapping Assistant Manager
Select the Settings icon on the top right of the Homepage and select Positions under the Store Settings
Select Positions Mapping at the top right of the Positions page.
Select the drop-down menu and select Sales Associate.
Enter the Forecasting Positions and Time Factor details and click on the icon to save the changes. Select Close.
The entered details will now reflect on the Positions page under Mapped Positions.
