Limiting Employee Shifts Per Day
You can specify the number of shifts for an employee that can be scheduled within a 24-hour period. Any changes made to this field affects all employees in your company (if configured in the company update screen) or all employees in your store (if configured in the store update screen).
To specify the number of shifts, follow the below steps:
From the Dashboard screen, select Settings icon.
Under the Company or Store settings menu, select Update.
In the Maximum Shifts Per Day field, enter the desired value. For example, you can enter 1 or 2 shifts for a 24-hour period.
Select Save Changes to update the maximum shifts per day.
Setting Minimum Hours Between Employee Shifts
You can set the minimum hours between shifts for an employee to avoid excessive workload and comply with your labor laws. Once you set the value, the system won’t let you schedule another shift for the employee until the designated hours have passed.
To set minimum hours between employee shifts, follow the below steps:
From the Dashboard screen, select Settingsicon.
Under the Company or Store settings menu, select Update.
In the Minimum Hours Between Shifts field, enter the desired value.
Select Save changes to update the minimum hours between employee shifts details.
Setting Minimum and Maximum Work Hours Per Day
You can set the minimum and maximum hours per employee per day to prevent scheduling shifts with insufficient or excessive hours.
To set minimum and maximum work hours per day, follow the below steps:
From the Dashboard screen, select Employees and choose the Update icon. The system displays the employee settings screen.
Select Employment Information. In the Minimum Working Hours per Day and Maximum Working Hours per Day fields, enter the desired value.
Select Save Changes to update the working hours per day.
Setting Minimum and Maximum Work Hours Per Week
You can set the minimum and maximum hours per employee per week to prevent scheduling shifts with insufficient or excessive hours.
To set minimum and maximum work hours per week, follow the below steps:
From the Dashboard screen, select Employees and choose the Update icon. The system displays the employee settings screen.
Select Employment Information. In the Minimum Working Hours per Week and Maximum Working Hours per Week fields, enter the desired value.
Select Save Changes to update the working hours per week.
