Scheduling Plus allows you to send the login credentials to employees if they lose their password or have not received the credentials. This depends on whether they have verified their email address in the system or have an email address at all. In this article, you will learn how to distribute the employee credentials to an employee in the following circumstances:
- If the employee has verified their email address in the system
- If the employee has not verified their email address in the system
- If the employee does not have an email address in the system
If the employee has verified their email address in the system:
You can email the employee a temporary password that they can change after logging in to the system.
To send an email with a temporary password to the employee follow the below steps:
Select the Gear Icon at the top right of the dashboard menu and select Employees.
Select the Update icon next to the employee you wish to generate the employee credentials from the list of store employees.
The system displays the employee settings page.
Select Update > Login Credentials from the employee settings.
Select Regenerate Credentials & Email.
An email link with the login credentials is sent to the employee. The employee must log in using the credentials and then change their password.
If the employee has not verified their email address in the system:
You can regenerate the login credentials and view or print them via PDF.
To view or print the login credentials, follow the below steps:
Select the Update icon next to the employee you wish to generate the employee credentials to from the list of store employees.
The system displays the employee settings page.
Select Update > Login Credentials from the employee settings.
Select Regenerate Credentials & Print.
By selecting Regenerate Credentials and Print, a PDF file is displayed with the employee’s username and a temporary password. You can print this out and give it to them. When they log in the next time, they are prompted to change the password.
Select the Resend the verification Email button to send the email for verification as the employee didn’t verify the email address.
If the employee does not have an email address in the system:
Select the Update icon next to the employee you wish to generate the employee credentials from the list of store employees.
The system displays the employee settings page.
Select Update > Login Credentials from the employee settings.
Select Regenerate Credentials & Print.
A PDF file is created and displayed with their login credentials. You can print this out and give it to the employee. When they log in the next time, they are prompted to change the password. You can reach out to the Scheduling + help desk if you face any issues while generating/resetting your employee's credentials.
