Managing Spreadsheet Data: Exporting and Importing

Importing and exporting Spreadsheets using Epicor Scheduling+ is an easy way to get your information registered into our database. You can modify the file(s) to fit the needs of your company. Be sure to enter information for any required column headings, which are marked with an asterisk (*).

Exporting a Spreadsheet

Downloading an Export Spreadsheet file contains all the existing information about the company stored in the database. When you download the file, you can add or modify the information as desired.

  1. Click on the gear icon gearicon.png to expand the Settings menu.
  2. Select Company Settings > Import/Export page > Export tab.
  3. Select the fields you want to include in the downloaded file.
  4. Click Download.

Add or update the following details in the downloaded file:

Company Details         
Id Auto-generated ID of your company.
Company Name* The name of the company.
Company Manager/Admin* The name of the company manager or administrator.
Company Manager/Admin Email Address* Email address of the company manager or administrator.
Annual Hours Yearly work hours of the company.
Meal Break Length Meal break length in minutes.
Consecutive Minutes

Maximum number of minutes an employee works without a meal break.

Store Details
Id Auto-generated store ID.
Store Name* Store name.
Store ID* The ID of the store.
Store Address Address of the store.
City City name of the store location.
State Name of the state.
Zip Code* Area zip code of the store location.
Time Zone Time zone of the part of the country.
Store Phone Number Phone number of the store.
Schedule Start Day* The start day of the week on which the store operates.
Store Start Time* Time for when the store opens every day.
Store End Time* Time for when the store closes every day.

 

Positions
Id Auto-generated position ID.
Position Names of the positions currently available within the company. For example, Manager, Cashier, etc.
Hourly Rate An hourly rate of each position in your company.

 

Departments
Id Auto-generated ID of the department within the company.
Department Names of the departments within the company.

 

Benefits
Id ID of the benefit plan for the employees.
Benefit State the name of the benefit plan(s).

 

Exemptions
Id Auto-generated ID of the exemption.
Exemption Name of employee specific exemption(s) to add and keep track of in the system.

 

Employee Details
Id Auto-generated ID of employees.
First Name* First name of the employee.
Last Name* Last name of the employee.
Employee Id Unique employee ID.
Time Clock Pin Time clock pin that is used by employee to clock in and out.
Email Address* Email address of the employee.
Meal Break Length Duration of the employee meal break.
Paid Type States whether employee are paid for meal breaks.
Exempt or Not Exempt Depends on the employee’s compensation type. 0 for not exempt and 1 for exempt.
Cell Phone Cell phone number of the employee.
Cell Carrier Name of the cell carrier.
Salary Type The salary type of the employee: “hourly”, “annual” or “hourly position based”
Wage Wage/cost figure of the employee, whether annually or hourly.
Position Position name of the employee.
Assigned Store(s)* Store assigned to the employee.

 

Time Off Request Types
Id Enter the ID of the request type.
Type Code Enter the code of the time-off request.
Name Provide the full name of the time-off request.
Type Paid or unpaid type represented by 0 and 1. 1 for paid, 0 for unpaid. 

 

Tasks
Id An auto-generated task ID.
TaskName Name of the task.
TaskDescription Describes the task in detail.

 

Importing a Spreadsheet

Once you are done adding or modifying the file, you can upload or import the file into the Scheduling+ database.

To navigate to the Import/Export page:

  1. Click on the gear icon gearicon.png to expand the Settings menu and select Import/Export.
    This takes you to the Import page.

  2. Select the fields you want to include from the list you want to import to the system.
  3. To import the file on the system, select Choose File.
  4. If you want to merge the file with the existing settings, enable the checkbox, otherwise leaving it unchecked would override the previously created data of your company.
  5. Click Import.
